Aid and Attendance is a little known veteran benefit, that may be able to help either the veteran or the surviving spouse with finances while either home care or facility care is needed. This is something that you would want to keep in mind when your looking at purchasing a long term care policy.
Of course with Aid and Attendance there are stipulations that you must meet before you qualify.
To be able to receive Aid and Attendance benefits you should contact the regional VA office, if you don’t know which office you can apply at any regional office.
